A Baby Shower with Fourth Graders

Some of my students' moms organized a baby shower for me. They did a fabulous job of involving the kids by playing bingo and guess the size of Mrs. Taylor's belly! I was a good sport and let each child wrap their strip of tape around me to see if their guess was right. Well, we did have a winner. The actual inch measurement was quite shocking! We had a great time, as you can see in the pictures.The delicious cake!

Bluebonnet Baby Shower

I'm so lucky to work at such a wonderful school with amazing people. Everyday I think about how thankful I am to be there. My fourth grade team of teachers (Connie, Joanna, Kendra, and Kristen) hosted a baby shower for me after school on May 20th. Teachers are always in a hurry to get things done, so we had a nice short little gathering with snacks, cupcakes, and of course presents! While people were visiting with each other, they kept commenting that this was the third teacher baby shower of the school year...and all the baby showers have been for fourth grade teachers! Kristen...you're next! Maybe next year, right?

The Very Much Needed Onesies

Wow Baby!

Tonight we went to our Tuesday night Bible study, and I was very distracted. In the midst of deep conversation, I started to feel Evie really squirm. Several times I looked down at my belly to see it moving up, down, and changing shape. Needless to say, I was quite fascinated by this. All night my eyes were glued to my belly waiting for the next bumps to appear. I can't wait for it to happen again. Next time, maybe not in the middle of Bible study!

Baby on the Move...27 Weeks

This after noon I was sitting at the computer and felt my belly move, well more like bulge out. I quickly put my hand on my stomach to feel a hard spot, which was some part of Evie. Gently, I pressed and she moved. I kept chasing the "hard spot" and she kept moving. I guess I could say it was my first game of chase with Evie! Pretty soon I will be able to tell if it's a foot, head, hand, or behind!

Florida Baby Shower

I just got back from a long weekend in Florida where I had my first baby shower. Family and friends came to celebrate Evie! I was so blessed to see so many family members and friends! Some of them I haven't seen since we moved to Texas! Judd and I are so thrilled to have had such a great turn out. We are so excited to go through all the baby gifts (which my dad is shipping to us). Thanks dad!
