We have a sitter!

In late December, Evie started to become really steady at sitting with support. Every day we spent time helping her sit without support. Within a couple of seconds, she would tumble over. Well, this past week Evie started sitting up all by herself. She is so steady and rarely falls! We are so proud of our strong baby!

Stronger Everyday

When Evie and I come home from school I turn on the stereo, and we have fun dancing and singing. Evie also spends time practicing sitting and standing. She's so strong!

Bye Bye Swaddle

When Evie was a newborn we had the most difficult time getting her to calm down and sleep. At her one week well exam, the doctor swaddled Evie during one of her crying spells and poof! Evie instantly stopped crying. Ever since that day, Evie has been swaddled for all naps and night sleep. On Christmas Eve I had a feeling Evie was ready to sleep without the swaddle. My instincts were proven correct when Evie almost fell asleep laying on the couch. We put her in the crib, and she sleep through her nap. From that day on, we have not swaddled Evie for her twelve hour night time sleep. She still sleeps best during naptime swaddled, but I have a feeling that won't last long!

Evie normally doesn't sleep with a stuffed animal,

but I couldn't take this cute giraffe away from her when she looked so cute and comfortable!

A Special Gift

One of my sweet students from last year visited me one afternoon afterschool. She brought special gifts for Evie and me. She knitted matching winter hats for us. My hat is a little small, but Evie's fits pretty good.

Exersaucer

Evie loves playing in her Excersaucer. Obviously she has a blast!

Tummy Time

Saturday afternoon Judd, Evie, Wilson, and I were just chilling in Evie's room, when Evie decided to roll onto her stomach to do some tummy time.

Evie has had enough! Wilson is oblivious...chewing on his toy.
