Nine Months

Our beautiful baby is nine months old!!! She is moving up in the word! She got her two front teeth, and can crawl and cruise all over the place. She has started to babble with sounds like, "mama, dada, a-da a-da". Evie simply amazes her. Katy waves at us and starts babbling in her own little language when she is really happy. She has brought such joy to our life! We love our little baby.

8 Months

I am very behind on blogging! It's about time I post about Katy's 8 months before she hits 9 months. The best way to describe Katy is DRIVEN. She wants to explore, touch, feel, and taste anything in her path! If she sees something that interests her, she will beeline straight to it to inspect it.
She loves taking baths with Evie! Eating bubbles is her favorite. She tries to crawl and stand in the tub. As far as mobility goes, she has been pulling up to standing and that is her preferred position. She can cruise holding onto furniture. EATING is another favorite. It doesn't matter what I give her, she will try it and gobble it up! Baby food didn't last long, as she prefers feeding herself pieces of food. She naps once a day for up to two hours. If she doesn't take a long nap, she'll take 30 minute cat naps throughout the day. At night she goes down around 7 or 8pm. She wakes up again around 12am and might eat again between then and 5am. That is the cost of nursing. I don't mind since it is extra cuddle time. She will be weaned before I know it, so I keep reminding myself of that when I am extra tired! On that note, I am so thankful I have been able to nurse (and pump). It is so healthy for both of us. When I think about it, I am amazed how God has provided the perfect "formula" to nourish a child!

Other updates include that Katy is doing much much better at the church nursery. She used to cry and fuss so bad. Now that she eats table food, they feed her, and she even has fallen asleep there! I am impressed, because she is difficult to get to sleep. On New Years Eve Judd came down with the flu, and a couple days later, Katy had it too. Then a week later Evie had the flu! I am the only one who didn't get it. That is my excuse for not blogging. I have been taking care of sick people!

Ice Skating

 We went ice skating with our friend Asher. They had a great time! Once we got our hands on the "walker" Evie was able to skate across the ice without sliding and falling every second! We had a great time.

Christmas 2013

It was our first Christmas as a family of four! We had so much fun celebrating the season. Evie is at the age where she REALLY looks forward to the presents, but she also has started to understand that Christmas also celebrates Jesus!

One Starry Night....a walk through Bethlehem with our neighbor, Chase. Judd was in charge of the stargazing. He had the telescopes set up outside! BRRRRRR.....
