Picking a Name...Evangeline Lillian

It was not an easy task choosing a name for the baby! After lots of deliberation, Judd suggested Evie. In one of our favorite Natalie Portman movies, V for Vendetta, the main character is named Evie. That name caught our attention, but I wanted it to be a nickname for a longer name. We looked at names starting with "Ev" )there aren't many) in our baby names book and discovered Evangeline. We really liked it and thought it was unique, so we stuck to it. Next we worked on the middle name. I really liked Lillian, so we went with that. Some of you may wonder if we watch Lost. Surprisingly we don't! We figured out later on that an actress on the show is named Evangeline Lily. Later on I also learned that there is a Pokemon named Evie! Years from now people won't know about Lost or Pokemon...I hope.

25 Weeks!

Wow, it's hard to believe I am already six months pregnant! There are only three months left. I have heard they are a loooooong three months. I am hoping they will go by quickly. Judd and I are getting excited to meet Evie!

UPS Delivery

Last week the UPS man dropped off a special package, a stroller! My mother and father-in-law, Deb and Chip, along with Judd's sister, Charlie and her husband Giovanni, sent us this perfect gift. So far, it is the first present we have received in the mail! Wilson wasn't so sure about this new gadget so I had to coax him into sitting in the stroller with bribery...treats and his ball. He even let me push him around for a little while!

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was very relaxing and uplifting for Judd and me. We started the day with the Easter Sunday service. Then we went to our friend, Gwen's, for Easter lunch. Every year we are so lucky to be invited into our friends' homes for Easter. We really appreciate this because we don't have any family around here. We took Wilson to Gwen's where he played with two little shih-poo puppies. Well actually, Wilson spent most of the time trying to escape them! They were hyper little ones! After a delicious meal, we went home. I took a nice, long Sunday nap!!!! It's crazy to think that next year, we'll have little Evie searching for Easter eggs!

Congratulations Mrs. Taylor

As a teacher, my students draw pictures for me, give me little trinkets, and write little notes. One day after school I found a folded up piece of notebook paper on my desk.

This is what the note read. (I kept the spelling authentic):

Dear Mrs Taylor,

Congradulations on the girl.

I hope that she's your glisining pearl.

In a ( ) she'd win 1st prize,

and double in size before your very eyes.

And just last congradulations,

I hope she has happy rations.

Notice how the illustrations compliment the poem. The first prize ribbon and the double in size measurements on the ruler. Also notice the glistening pearl, female symbol, and the happy face! This note just made me smile, even if it doesn't totally make sense! I will keep this note for the baby book!

Welcome to the World Baby ASHER!!!!!

Rachel and Brandon are very dear friends to Judd and I. On Saturday their son, Asher, was born. Sunday after church, I went to visit the happy family. (Judd was at a NASCAR race, so he couldn't go). Asher is so very sweet!

Bigger Belly
