20 degrees, feels like 3

Yep, that's the weather right now! Early this morning around 3am the frozen rain/ sleet mix started pelting our house and gradually transitioned to snow. At 5am I got the call that school was cancelled. THANK GOODNESS. Evie woke up at 7:30 and around 8 Judd took Wilson outside. After spending about 5 seconds outside, Judd said, "Jenn, we didn't leave any foot prints!" Outside was a slick 1 inch coating of ice, on the grass, sidewalks, and roads! While Judd worked from home, Evie and I had fun finger painting, playing dress up, building with MegaBloks. Around noon, we dressed in layers, "The Christmas Story" style, and braved the COLD.

Baby Stella

Evie and visited ten day old baby Stella and her big brother Pierce. Stella's mommy, Joanna, works with me. It was great to visit and watch Evie and Pierce play.

Monday night when I was cooking dinner and making lunches, Evie entertained herself by pulling out all of the tupperware from the cabinet. I rarely let empty the entire cabinet, but tonight I decided I didn't really care. Her latest interest is building towers, so that's what she did!

New Bike

On Evie's birthday, one of her friend's gave her a little trike bike which has been in the closet for a while. Our little one year old neighbor Chase, was playing with his new trike after Christmas. Evie really liked riding his, so we decided to put her bike together. At first sight, Evie was terrified of it! To convince her to try it, Judd kept pointing to the picture on the box of a little girl riding the bike. Eventually, Evie believed that it would be fun and tried riding it! She couldn't reach the pedals yet, so she walked herself around on it.
