My school hosted Breakfast with Santa  on Saturday. Evie was not thrilled to see Santa, so I joined her in the picture.

Yo Gabba Gabba LIVE!

We had great fun at Yo Gabba Gabba Saturday night. Parents and children danced and sang along. It was really quite sweet seeing all the kids have such a good time!

The show was complete with the crazy gold suit lady, Leslie Hall. We had a super dance party with Biz Markie, and that One Guy lead the Super Music Friend Show! Of course you can't forget, DJ Lance ROCK! He was AAAAWESOOOME!

Evie went to Chase's 2nd birthday party at Indoor Safari Park. We had so much fun!

I just started a crafting blog to document all the cool stuff I have made. It's called, "Crafty Mom: Stuff I Make." So far I have posted the Minnie Mouse Costume and lots bows! I hope to add a post at least once a month.

Potty Training

Yes, we are potty training! With a week off for Thanksgiving I thought we should give it a whirl. We started off using the 3 Day Method, with which several of my friends have had great success. Earlier this week Evie picked out some big girl panties. We have Dora, princess, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Minnie Mouse panties. She was so proud of them that the first night we had them, she wore a pair over her diaper that night.

On the first two days Evie went from her night diaper straight into some panties ALL DAY. We spent all day at home, basically on lock down. We cleaned many messes, but she was so proud of herself for being a big girl. Every time she had a success she would start lauging and saying, "I did it!" Immediately after we gave her a sticker to put on her potty chart, and she ate ONE m&m. She loves those rewards!

The first day went pretty good, but the second day was tough, tough, tough. Evie didn't want to get near the potty. After her nap, she had a change of heart and wanted to try again.

On the third morning, I pretty much had given up based on day 2. I put Evie straight into a diaper and decided I would follow her lead. Boy did she surprise and impress me! She asked to go potty all day long! She also went number two all on her own. She actually told me to LEAVE her alone and shut the bathroom door. We ate lunch at Chick Fil A, and she pottied there. We played at the Ark, and she pottied there! So we had LOTS of successes today at home and at two separate public places!!!! Wow, wow, wow. I guess Evie is ready.


We are not worrying about potty during sleepy time, so she still wears her special "night night diapers" when sleeping.

 In those threee days we spent many hours at home. We made fun crafts, watched tv, colored, and sang songs. I didn't get a picture of it all, but here's a shaving cream and Elmer's Glue painting activity.

Thanksgiving Program

Evie's preschool had their annual Thanksgiving program last week! The two year olds sang, "Jesus Loves Me" and "Turkey Dressing." Evie was definitely awestruck by the crowd! When she noticed me, she had a huge smile!

After the program, we went upstairs to eat a yummy Thanksgiving lunch.
