What a wonderful Mother's Day present to our family.  She is absolutely perfect and beautiful.

When Evie met Kate, her first question was "Do you like princesses?"

Writing

Since January Evie has been able to write her name. At first, she often mixed up the letters or would write her entire name backwards (eivE), which was impressive to me! Now, she writes her name with ease. The other day I tried to teach her how to write Katy's name. That was a little more challenging. She could do it if she copied the letters. She doesn't remember how to spell it yet. Anyway, I am very proud of her regardless! 

Ballet Class

Parents were invited in to observe ballet class today. The girls were practicing their recital routine, and they needed an audience to watch them. Evie was so excited to have me inside of her class! Parents are never invited in to watch. We usually have to peak through the blinds.

A Nursery and a Big Girl Room

We finally have Kate (Katy) and Evie's rooms' fully transitioned and set up! After clearing out closets, reorganizing, moving furniture, painting, and shampooing the carpets, the rooms are ready. We just finished a couple of days ago!

I made most of the wall art in Evie's room. Thanks to Pinterest, I found some fun and affordable ways to redecorate Evie's room. I love her zebra couch!

37 Weeks

The sweet school nurse, Judy, had her camera out Friday morning. She asked to take a picture of me. I said sure, why not! Here I am one day before 37 weeks, full term. I'm at the point where strangers look at me and ask, "How much time do you have left honey?" or kindergarteners say, "Wow you're fat!" or a substitute comments, "Are you having twins?" I just roll with the punches and smile! AND yep, I am still working! Thank goodness I have FIVE days left. I am taking a week off before the scheduled delivery on May 11th. There's something about teachers. We work up until the very last possible moment before having baby. I know quite a few who have gone home after work and have had the baby that night/ next morning! The longer we work equals more time we will have with our babies and.... fewer sub plans we have to write. Anyway, I am ready to focus on sweet Katy. I'm ready to put school on pause for a while.

Baby Sprinkle for Kate Olivia

My lovely friends hosted a baby sprinkle one evening at a favorite restaurant of mine, Bread Winners. It was a small group of us. It was perfect!

Erin and I share the same due date- May 18th!

Evie was a great helper during presents!
