It has been a long while since last posting! Life has been busy, and a lot has happened since Katy's 2nd birthday. For the sake of keeping it brief, here's a list!
- I left my teaching career to be a stay at home working part time mom.
- We put our house on the market. It is still for sale.
- Judd has ventured on a life changing journey of healthy living with exercise and diet, thus losing 25 pounds so far.
- Evie started first grade.
- In mid June, our home almost flooded. Definitely too close for comfort.
- Katy started MDO twice a week.
- I started private tutoring.
- I vamped up my sewing business.
- I am on the brink of starting a part time job at Evie's school.
- We are on a journey of simplifying our life. Spend less money. Stop sacrificing time for more money. Instead sacrifice money to have more time! Be less wasteful, more thoughtful with spending, and so on.
Here is the pumpkin patch!!! We found a great place called Hall's Pumpkin Farm. It has a corn maze, hay rides, old tractors and trucks for great photo ops, as well as lots of pumpkins of course! We spent the mid day there, which was way too hot! It was about 90 degrees with no shade and no wind. The dust was in full swing! With it being hot, we all became cranky pretty quickly! I'm certain the children thought I was torturing them by making them pose for pictures. You can tell in some shots that they were not quite enthusiastic. In fact, I tried to get a shot on the tractor and they just started hitting each other, because they both wanted to control the steering wheel! I hope to go again in the early evening when the weather is more pleasant, and I imagine all the lights will make a cool glow on the orange pumpkins and hay. Hopefully this ambiance will make a more pleasant picture taking experience too!
