Growing Belly

My belly continues to grow. We have concluded I am showing so early because I am just a small person, so everything is just popping soon.

Wilson

Wilson has been our "baby" for four years. We are so excited to let Wilson sniff and love our little baby one day.

More Baby Shower Fun!

Today my friends and I hosted Rachel's church baby shower. We had a great show of about 40-50 guests!!! We ate delectable food, admired presents, and visited with lifetime friends. Most importantly, we were able to share this day with Rachel. It is so special to think that the people at this shower are the people who will help "bring up" baby Asher in a loving Christian environment. How wonderful!

Friends and Babies on the Way

This weekend marked the beginning of baby shower fun! Our good friends, Rachel and Brandon, are expecting their first child (a boy) at the end of March. Some friends and I celebrated at Rachel's baby shower. It has been nice sharing pregnancy stories with Rachel. Soon, we'll be able to share baby stories!

In the Wilderness....Almost

Our annual field trip to LISDOLA (outdoor learning area) was a big hit today. Way out in the wilderness...off business 121, we tramped through the woods, hiked along a creek, discovered animal tracks and carcasses, found a washed up wave runner from Lake Lewisville, and got a small taste of nature in the middle of the city. Great, great fun!

Second Trimester

Here's latest update on my everchanging baby and body:
This is day number 103 and you're 14 weeks pregnant! You have 177 days or 25 weeks left, and are 36.8% of the way there. Baby's age since conception is 89 days or 12 weeks.
It is so amazing that I am already more than 3 1/2 months pregnant. This Wednesday I will hit 15 weeks, only one week from 4 months! Wow!
Throughout this entire pregnancy I have been blessed with very few discomforts. My worst complaint was the overwhelming exhaustion I experienced for several weeks and several dizzy spells that sent the room a' spinning. Not once have I felt nauseous. Also, I have been able to continue exercising, which is very important to me. It keeps me energized and in a good mood. So, I am feeling pretty darn good.

Dance Dance Dance!!!

Most of you know that I take a Nia class about twice a week at the gym. Basically, Nia incorporates physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health. It's a holistic approach to exercise that combines nine forms of movement:

Martial Arts: T’ai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido
Dance Arts: Jazz Dance, Modern Dance, Duncan Dance
Healing Arts: Yoga, Alexander Technique, The Teachings of Moshe Feldenkrais

Every week I look forward to going to the gym! Nia is the reason I exercise on a regular basis. It's so energizing and great for releasing stress. On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to attend a dance session in Dallas taught by the creators of Nia. About 100+ people danced for 90 minutes. It was so fun! Here are pictures of some of my Nia friends who went to the event.
